The inaugural Surrey Digital Awards winners’ evening is to be held at a prestigious venue in the heart of Woking, organisers revealed this week.
The SDAs is the first and only scheme to recognise the online achievements of businesses, schools and charities from across the county and as reported by its “media partner” the Surrey Mirror this week, the response has been “outstanding”.
With close to 200 entries already submitted across ten categories and the closing date more than two months away (January 9) the event on March 5 is expected to sell-out shortly after going on sale in the New Year.
The SDAs ceremony will take place at the “Woking Suite” of the Holiday Inn, in Victoria Way, part of the world’s largest hotel chain.
Lukasz Borucki, Conference Co-ordinator at the Holiday Inn Woking, revealed he was “delighted” to be involved with the first SDAs.
“We pride ourselves on delivering a first-class service here at the Holiday Inn Woking and guests at the first Surrey Digital Awards will be very well looked after,” he remarked.
“It gives us immense pleasure to be the venue for the awards because it is such an innovative and progressive scheme.
“In 2014 it has to be right that we recognise the fantastic work that is being done all across this brilliant county of ours and we’re very happy to be part of it.”
Premio64 is the organization behind the SDAs which is free to enter and offer Gold, Silver and Bronze awards for “Website”, “Use of Social Media for Business”, “Mobile Apps”, “Blogs”, “Use of Video for Business”, “Online Marketing Campaign”, “School, Education or Charity Website”, “Small Business Website”, “Responsive Website”, and “Online Marketing Campaign”.
Andy Pritchard, of Premio64, added: “We’re thrilled to have found the Holiday Inn Woking for the SDAs in this our first year.
“It’s a very plush venue, very accessible and the function room and neighbouring pre-drinks room are perfect for what promises to be a brilliant and memorable evening.”
