Surrey County Council To Head SDA16

Surrey County Council has signed up as Headline Sponsor of the Surrey Digital Awards for the second year running.

As part of the arrangement the local authority – which has headquarters in Kingston-Up-Thames – will present the flagship “Website” category at the Presentation Evening in March next year.

They will also receive a host of publicity benefits including coverage with the media partner of SDA16, the Surrey Mirror and Dorking and Leatherhead Advertisers.

The Surrey Digital Awards is the first and only scheme solely dedicated to recognising the online achievements of businesses, schools and charities from across the county.

Cllr Peter Martin, Deputy Leader of Surrey County Council, explained why the organisation chose to back the Awards once again.

“Surrey County Council are pleased to support the Surrey Digital Awards for 2016. Creative Technology is an important sector in Surrey, and the Surrey Digital Awards provides the opportunity to celebrate the range of digital expertise from across the county.

“Supporting the achievements of Surrey business is important and as one of the few sector specific business awards in Surrey we are delighted to be the headline sponsor for the second year, and wish all the entrants success in the 2016 awards.”

Entry is now open for the Awards across 15 categories including a new “Website: B2B” class.

Judges for SDA16 hail from a range of impressive organisations including Sky Sports and the London’s digital agency community.

Categories in SDA16 include “Website”, “Use of Social Media for Business” and “Mobile App”.
