The Digital Awards team is thrilled to announce that Surrey County Council is offering its support for a third year.
Since day one the county council has backed the Surrey Digital Awards, which was set up in 2015 to celebrate the online achievements of businesses, charities and schools from across the county.
Deputy Leader Peter Martin, will present the “Website” category at the SDA17 Presentation Evening in March next year.
Mr Martin described Surrey as the “one of most digitally advanced counties in the UK”.
He added: “Surrey is a digital leader and these awards give businesses, charities and schools from across the county a great opportunity to receive recognition for the brilliant work they are doing.”
The Surrey Digital Awards is open to businesses from any industry and digital agencies from inside Surrey may enter their client’s work, even if the client is outside of the county.
Entry is now open for the SDA17across 15 categories and anticipation is building about who will claim the prestigious “Spirit of Surrey” award in the Spring, following the success of Brooklands Museum this year.
Robin Bailey, the Chairman of the SDA Judging panel, said: “It is no secret that Surrey is a hotbed of digital talent and is a base for some of the most exciting technology companies in the world.
“It is fantastic news for the SDAs to continue to receive the council’s support and we will continue to shine a spotlight on Surrey’s brightest digital talent.”
Judges for SDA17 hail from a range of impressive organisations including Sky Sports and eir.com.
Categories in SDA17 include “Website”, “Use of Social Media for Business” and “Mobile App”.
